School Rules For Students:
1. All students are requested to follow the established rules of school discipline.
2. We follow a system of natural consequences for not following these rules. For example:
- Coming late is corrected by spending time in detention.
- Mobile phones or mp3 players, if found, will be confiscated and not returned.
- Bad language is corrected by giving cleaning duties.
- For extreme offenses, a student may be suspended or expelled depending on degree of offense.
3. Students are requested to behave in a disciplined way and as per Gurukul rules and
regulations.
4. Students themselves are responsible for their valuables if kept with them.
School Rules For Parents:
- Parents can talk on phone only on the last Sunday of every month between 10 am and 5 pm, on Gurukul Landline number.
- Last Sunday of every month is also for visiting purpose. No visits are allowed during any other day of the month.
- For any leave from the school, the parents should submit a written application at least 10 days in advance. We will only accept the application from the parent/guardian who came during the time of admission. We will not consider application from any other relative of the child.
- We recommend not to disturb the child during first six months of admission by frequently visiting him.
Student Money & Eatables:
- Gurukul students are NOT allowed to keep any personal money. If any child is caught having personal money, then it will be confiscated and not returned, and will be added to Gurukul treasury.
- If parents want they can keep money with the caretaker to be used by the students on Sundays.
- Money can also be contributed to a child’s ashram treasury which will be used for special treats for all students in the Ashram.
- Every student has equal rights in our Ashram, so if any parent wants to give some eatables to his/her child then they will be distributed to all students.
Admission formalities:
- Student must bring with him the counter-signed transfer certificate (TC) along with the passing mark sheet of previous class.
- As SPIG is day and night boarding school, thus permission from both mother and father/Guardian is required.
- When ever parents wish to take child back, we will handover the child to the parent / guardian who came at the time of admission. We will not entertain any other relative.
